Chapter 1 The Knight's Dilemma
.... Each long time before, in a land far away, right now there lived a knight who thought of himself as good, kind, and adoring. He would all the things great, kind and loving knights in battle do. He fought foes who were awful, mean and hateful. He slew dragons and preserved fair damsels in distress in distress. When the knight business was slow, he had the frustrating habit of rescuing damsels in distress even if they did not want being rescued, therefore , although many females were pleased to him, just as various were furious with him. This he accepted philosophically. After all, a single can't please everybody..... This knight was famous for his armor. This reflected this kind of bright rays of light that villagers could swear that were there seen sunlight rise in the north or perhaps set in the east if the knight rode off to fight. And this individual rode away to battle usually. At the pure mention of a crusade, the knight could eagerly don his perfect armor, support his horse, and ride off in just about any direction. So eager was he, in fact , that occasionally he would trip off in several directions simultaneously, which was no easy feat..... For years this kind of knight strove to be the number one knight out of all kingdom. There were always one more battle being won, dragon to be slain, or young lady to be preserved..... The knight had a devoted and relatively tolerant partner, Juliet, who also wrote beautiful poetry, stated clever issues, and had a penchant pertaining to wine. He also had a young, golden-haired son, Captain christopher, who he hoped will grow approximately be a courageous knight..... Juliet and Captain christopher saw little of the knight, because when not fighting battles, slaying dragons, and saving damsels, he was occupied with trying on his armor and admiring the brilliance. As time went on, the dark night became thus enamored of his armour that he began wearing it to dinner and quite often to pickup bed. After a time, this individual didn't take the time to take that off by any means. Gradually his family forgot how he looked devoid of it..... From time to time, Christopher would ask his mother what his dad looked like. The moment this occurred, Juliet could lead the boy to the fireplace and point over it into a portait in the knight. " There's your father, " she would heave a sigh..... One afternoon, while thinking about the portait, Christopher believed to his mom, " I wish I could find Father face-to-face. ".... " You can't possess everything! " snapped Juliet. She was growing rapide with having only a painting to remind her of her husband's face, and the girl was exhausted from having her rest distrubed by clanking of armor.... If he was at home and not entirely preoccupied with his armor, the knight usually delivered monologues on his exploits. Juliet and Christopher had been seldom capable of get a word in edgewise. When they performed, the knight shut it either simply by closing his visor or perhaps by quickly going to sleep..... Eventually, Juliet confronted her partner. " I do believe you love your armor more than you love me personally. ".... " That's not authentic, " clarified the dark night. " Don't I love you enough to rescue you from that monster and set you up in this classy fort with wall-to-wall stones? ".... " What you loved, " said Juliet, peering through his visor so that the girl could see his sight, " was your idea of saving me. You didn't love me in that case, and you...
