5. What is Whitman's view of death?

The topic death isn't usually the typical enjoyable discussion everyone is up for. Usually in a day to day discussion one is asked " How's life? ” not " How's death? ” Most people would declare death is definitely scary or perhaps feel really uncomfortable responding to such a question. This really is an all natural response, when reading Walt Whitman's poem " Music to Myself” one can notice that Whitman's approach to death is the exact opposite of a all-natural response. In this very egotistical poem Walt Whitman practically celebrates him self through fifty-two glorious lines and stocks and shares his thoughts on numerous subjects; one of which can be death. Whitman was an intellectual person, very much in love with nature and had strong thoughts about it when he did with death and immortality. In section certainly one of " Track to Myself” Whitman says, For every atom belonging to myself as good is you......................................................................... My own tongue, just about every atom of my blood vessels, form'd from this soil, this air, Created here of fogeys born in this article from parents the same, and the parents similar. (1. 3-8).

In these lines via section a single Whitman can be portraying a scene of immortality arising his perspective from the physical elements. This individual has atoms that as well belong to all of us as we perform to him, but more it is transmitted from our father and mother and their own, so on etc, leading to a feeling of immortality. Whitman believed that a person was always living even after loss of life; he avoid not fear death nor deny that.

While Whitman goes into section three this individual states, " I have heard what the talkers are talking, the look at the beginning as well as the end, /But I do certainly not talk of the beginning or the end. ” (1-3). I found this kind of opening extremely critical because Whitman discusses how a lot of people occupy their brains with...
