Cathedral, authored by Raymond Carver, is a short story that explores the narrator's insecurities and fears of what he does not figure out and throughout the progression of the story is definitely enlightened by the man he anxieties. The short story Cathedral is a history of the narrators' wife's aged friend visiting. The friend, Robert, can be described as man that she understood ten years prior to and provides kept in contact with since. Both the correspond by means of tape recordings on a regular basis.
